Boston screening date
What's up everyone. Thanks to everyone who has sent in their screening requests and helped spread the word about Planet B-boy. We are excited to announce that the film has received distribution through Elephant Eye Films.This means Planet B-boy will be having limited engagement play dates this year in select U.S cities.
Here is a list of scheduled playdates so far in Boston.
Screening times will be announced one week in advance.
4/04 Boston, MA - LANDMARK KENDALL SQUARE
If you would like to help spread the word about the screening, here are some things you can do to help out.
-Become Myspace and Facebook friends with Planet B-Boy
(links are to the left).
-Email your list of friends, Facebook, MySpace, etc. to let them know the film is screening in your city.
-Post online flyers on your social networks.
-Distribute flyers, postcards and posters for the film around your local coffee shops, bars, restaurants, bookstores and anywhere else you can think of.
-If you are an event promoter, let us know and we can work with you to plan an event in you city!
-Asking your friends to send their screening requests to:

if anyone recieves a postcard from a company called p.r.s telling you about how you won either free trip or 1,000 gift card do not call them. they are a scam
they con you into 7 magazine subscriptions for about 3 dollars a week...but charge you 58.00 dollars a month for 20 months.
when i called they changed their story and said i was locked in for 5 years.
i then, decided to pretend i was slow...lol. dont ask thought it was the best way to get out of it. they try to scam you into a lower price..but its just not worth it. i got out of it eventually but took me about an hour. |

Recently i've been feeling really weird this week. Ever since i found out that comic artist Mike Wieringo died. He died at 44 and was a vegetarian...why is that important? Cause he died of a heart attack..crazy to me. He's literally the guy who made me wanna draw comics..it wasn't some japanese artist or some really super famous jim lee type. It was him, the guy everyone says is the most humble and nicest comic artist.
I found him by reading his run on robin, he was drawing ninja's..haha you knew he got me. I was about 8 or 9 when i found this issue...and he basically created my obsesssion. I even created my own comic at 8, i called it batgabe and blue jay haha. It was stupid but w/e i was 8 leave me alone. I tried to track every friggen issue down, his run on robin, his flash stuff. Some of his spider-man stuff....then he co-created a new comic..Tellos...this fantasy world come alive. It was such a cool concept, from a guy who has been inspired by american and japanese culture he goes with this such lively fantasy world. I have pretty much every issue still and a couple signed by the inker.
I remember a few years back, their was a comic convention in boston. I wanted to see him, but he cancelled, i hectically tried to be there and to find out he wasnt coming..crushed me. And now...i will never get to meet him. I've felt like crying a few times..its weird..i've never met the man in my life..but he has inspired my whole life. Every artistic move i've made in my life is because of him. I've literally sat and thought out..if he was truly the one who put me on my path. And i don't see any other artist who's done that. I really don't care what other say about my choice..but as a memory to what i want to do in life even if i don't make it..i'm taking one of the tellos characters and designing a tatoo out of it. It's my personal tribute to him and i will always remember it.

fuck i think i pulled a backmuscle working out monday, now i have to just chill for a few days and not do anything til satuday. Hopefully it will be ok by then.
